Sidmouth FolkWeek Press Office

Information

The Sidmouth FolkWeek Press Office can provide the press and media with everything you need to know about the Festival – how it started, current organisation, biographical information on artists appearing, ideas for stories, promotional materials and press releases.

During the Festival, the Press Office can provide updated information and news items.

Access to Artists

The Press Office will be pleased to arrange interviews with artists, and space for interviews to take place. These can include advance interviews over the phone if necessary.

Media Accreditation

To apply for media accreditation, please Click here to download the application form. For freelance journalists and photographers, you are requested to provide a letter on official letterhead from the editor/producer of the media outlet that you are working for, with details of the planned editorial coverage.

Accredited press can collect their media pass from the Artist Liaison Office, Scout Hut, Manor Pavilion Car Park, Manor Road, Sidmouth, EX10 8RP from Thursday 29 July.

Photographs

Access for photographers must be applied for as part of the accreditation process. Photographers are requested not to use flash during seated concerts, not to stand in front of the stage at seated venues and to ensure that they do not interfere with the enjoyment of the audience.

The Festival employs an official photographer, Joe Plommer, and we will be pleased to supply photographs for publication, subject to the usual credit.

In advance of the Festival, we can provide digital images of artists, as well as ‘atmosphere’ photographs of the Festival.

Press Office Team

The Press Officer during the week is Tim Chipping.

In advance of the Festival, media enquiries are handled by Joan Crump (Artistic and Marketing Director) and Derek Schofield.
